Safari Overview – 7 Day Uganda Rwanda Safari
The 7 Day Uganda safari takes you to Queen Elizabeth National Park for wildlife Viewing and boat cruise along the kazinga Channel, connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for mountain gorilla tracking. From Bwindi, cross the boarder to Volcanoes National Park, another home to the endangered mountain gorillas in the world. The trip can end in Kigali or Kampala.
Day 1: Arrival in Rwanda – Kigali Airport
Depending on the arrival time in the land of a thousand hills, you will be welcomed by a professional tour guide and take a tour around Kigali city, visit genocide memorials, local art and craft shops as well as local markets and interact with the local people. Later proceed to Volcanoes national park to the north of Ruhengeri through a striking terraced hillsides that shows much of Rwanda landscape, check-in your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
This is your day for the first gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National park. Breakfast and assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing and assignment to a gorilla group in your ability to track. The hike in search for the mountain gorillas immerses you into the strange intimacy of the rain-forest plus a live call of colorful birds, the rare golden monkeys, as well as forest Elephants and Buffaloes. Have lunch at the lodge and later relax up at the lodge from the tiresome and exciting activity, and if interested, we can take an evening walk around Musanze town and local markets, or visit Iby’Iwacu cultural village.
Day 3: Cross to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National park
Breakfast and your lodge and cross to Uganda through Cyanika boarder / Kisoro with enroute visit to the beautiful Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. The drive can take 3-5 hours depending to which gorilla group / sector / Lodge booked.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trek in Uganda, Evening Community Tour
We take our second gorilla trek today in southern Bwindi National park or Mgahinga National park in South western Uganda. Bwindi inhabits over 440 mountain gorillas, which is half of the world’s remaining total population. Here, we have over 14 habituated gorilla families. However, Bwindi trek is more strenuous compared to Rwanda. More easier treks are available in Mgahinga National park for gorillas and rare golden monkeys.
Retire for lunch and relax at your lodge or visit local communities or take forest walk and mountain hiking. All meals and overnight stay as on Day 3.
Day 5: Transfer to Ishasha Sector to See Tree Climbing Lions
Breakfast at the lodge and transfer to Southern Queen Elizabeth National Park in the Ishasha Sector, a home to Tree Climbing Lions along side other animals like Elephants, Antelopes, Buffaloes among others. Enjoy huge game drive and a guided safari walk through the park, all meals and overnight at;

Day 6: Game Drive or Chimpanzee Tracking and Boat Cruise
Start early with breakfast and transfer to the northern part of the park for another game drive along Kasenyi track or go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. Lunch at Mweya safari lodge and take a fantastic boa cruise along the Kazinga Channel famous for the highest concentration of Hippos in Africa, with huge Nile crocodiles and over 600 bird species. Day 7: Drive back to Kigali
This is our last day in Uganda, and we are crossing back to Rwanda hrough Gatuna Boarder. If you require visa, the East Africa Tourist Visa is recommended in this situation because, it allows you multiple entry into Uganda and Rwanda.
