Day 1:  Arrival and travel to Nyungwe national park

After breakfast travel by road to Nyungwe Forest for a two nights’ stay at the simple Gisakura government Guesthouse on the edge of the forest. Take a stopover in Butare (2½ hours from Kigali) to see the National Museum, and lunch at the Ibis restaurant. Opposite the restaurant is an excellent craft co-op shop stocking a wide range of items at fair prices? Inform the driver if you wish to stop at the Marimba Genocide site on the road to Nyungwe then dinner and overnight at Gisakura government Guest house.

Day 2: Chimp tracking plus monkey viewing

Behind the time of breakfast, set off to Nyungwe for chimpanzee tracking where chimps are seen in a few hours past a thoroughly forest search but full of a wonderful forest life experience. Return for lunch and later go for colobus monkey viewing at the Albert rift that have unique characteristic unlike other monkeys that they move in troops of a hundreds. Dinner and overnight at Gisakura government guest house.

Day 3: Forest walk plus a transfer to volcanoes national park

Past breakfast go for a guided forest walks an activity that will enable you spot the attractive bird species in the forest that are another real gem is the paradise of the park like flycatcher, along tailed blue, orange and sometimes white bird often seen around the rest house plus other animals who use a forest as there habitat. Return for lunch and later leave for Volcanoes National park dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest House or Virunga lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Tracking in Parc Nationale des Volcanoes

 Early morning set off for gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest of the Virunga is a wonderful experience. If you are lucky you can get to see the gorillas, spend time with the gorillas (takes about I hour), and be back at the lodge in time for a late lunch! Some gorilla families however are more elusive, and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy. Overnight and dinner at Gorilla's Nest / Kinigi Guest House (FB).

Day 5: Transfer to Akagera national park

Depart for Akagera National park and arrive late afternoon with a late lunch then enjoy leisure evening dinner and overnight at Akagera lodge.

Day 6: Akagera National Park Game Drive

Go for a morning game drive and have a chance to look at plenty of animals as they wake up from there habitants like buffalos, elephants, zebras, giraffes, lion, leopard, black rhino and various antelope of which  all are reasonably visible. Return for lunch and later visit the highest concentrations of hippo you will never find anywhere in east Africa using canoe rides that make you come closer to them as well as numerous large crocodiles ,take right positioned photos then dinner and overnight at A Akagera lodge.

Day 7: A visit the Crater lake plus an evening game drive at the park

After breakfast visit the Crater Lake using boat rides that will expose you the morning breeze of Rwanda. Past lunch go for an evening game drive and see animals while returning to there habitats for an overnight stay and critically analyze how they behave compared to morning when thy just leave the habitates.This activity will enable you tell the best time to view different animal species. Day 8: Departure with an optional city tour that is based on time

Leave for Kigali and if time allows go for city tour including a visit to the market, and a genocide memorial then Transfer to the airport which marks the end of you safari.
