IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT GORILLAS SAFARIS

Tour Includes:
Airport transfers and to all places that were put in the package safari, accommodation, all meals, plenty of mineral water, the services of a driver-guide, all park and entry fees, and all activities as per programmed: visit of Kigali including the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gisozi, 1 gorilla trekking, hiking the Bisoke volcano (3.711 m). BUT Excludes: Airline ticket, beverages, tips, visas and personal expenses.

What to bring with you?
Money for your personal expenses (average of $ 50 p.p.), outfit with adapted colours for wildlife observation, good walking shoes, raingear, a few long-sleeve shirts, slippers, sweater for cool evenings, sun protection: hat, sunglasses, sun cream, video/photo camera, a 200 mm or longer lens is very useful, reserve batteries, films and a torch.

Warning
Gorilla permits are in high demand and need to be booked and paid in advance! Book your gorilla safari accordingly and avoid disappointment!

Altitude
Tracking takes place in altitudes of about 3000 meters above sea level. Thus trackers are advised to take their time. Do not run up the mountains. Take your time to enjoy the scenery.
However, to avoid confrontations with the silverbacks, visitors are advised to keep their distance and to be on the safe side, just follow the instructions of the guide. Do not feed the gorillas or entice them in any way.

Safari wear
The wear should be loose, fitting and relaxed in style with warm clothing for the colder evening at the volcanoes park. Most hotels and lodges have laundry serves, so an excessive amount of clothing should be unnecessary.

Gorilla permits
Only when payments have been received then permits for gorilla tracking is relevant to National Park be purchased and getting a gorilla permit is not a guarantee of seeing a gorilla but the Local conditions sometimes mean that access to the gorillas is made impossible at short notice. We are unable to accept liability for any circumstance that might lead to gorilla viewing being cancelled, whether it is closure of the National Park or borders, absence of the gorillas, security changes.
Refunds are at the caution of the relevant authority that cannot accept liability for them. They use maximum endeavors to obtain a refund and if a refund is paid by the relevant authority, they pass it on to the client.
