7 Days Safari to Rwanda
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes Virunga national park
Arrive in Kigali meet and greet the tour manager to brief you about the city tour in Kigali to Dr. Richard Kandt National Museum and Gisozi Genocide Memorial Site Have Lunch in a cozy city restaurant and later drive to the base of the volcanoes and visit the scenic twin lakes of Burera & Ruhondo. After the events, check in at your hotel, Dinner and Overnight Full Board.
Day 2 Gorilla tracking in Volcano Park
After breakfast leave for gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans an activity that has no defined time to start and end but too marvelous compared to all other park activities. It’s done through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga which provides miraculous experience to tourists by having ample time with the gorillas like over an hour and be back at the base in time for a late lunch. However, some gorilla families are more elusive and tracking can take a full day, especially when it is wet and muddy so always be a lucky tracker. Dinner and overnight at Sabyinyo silver back lodge (FB).
Day 3: A visit to the hopeless and God saved children of the genocide.
Drive to Gisenyi past breakfast with a picnic lunch and head to the Shores of Lake Kivu in Gisenyi where you will visit the Rosamond Carr's Orphanage for the Children who lost parental love during the genocide time in 1994 and had no hope of life and survival but know need to consoled by true friends so your visit is of great value. Later Return to Kivu Serena Hotel or Sun hotel for dinner and overnight at a full board basis.
Day 4 Rwanda adventure tour
After breakfast take the Kiboko Marine Speed Boat to Cyangugu a place famous for river and lakes (Kibuye , Kivu plus Rusizi river ), beach, farm tourism and great village tours that expose the real African man at work to the world. Have a lunch enroute at Kibuye in Amahoro Island then dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest House or Du lac _ Cyangugu hotel (BB).
Day 5 Chimpanzee and monkey viewing in Nyungwe Forest
Early morning leave for Nyungwe forest for the first Chimpanzee trekking in the a blessed great African chimp home full of numerous forest hidden beauty identification and expect to see different thirteen primate species that are not any where else in Africa. Return for lunch at Gisakura Guest House and later go for primate viewing at the monkey base in the forest that will enable you fall in like with talking to humans in a sign language and remember to make friendship with the primates which will create a life time memory for Africa in your life. Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest house or Du lac _ Cyangugu hotel (BB).
Day 6 Kigali Tour Rwanda genocide popular sites
Drive to Kigali and on the way visit Murambi Genocide Memorial Site famous for having dead remains of the massacred people like torn old clothes, skeletons of twisted group of people who were killed in groups young and elderly, Butare National Museum a theatre of traditional artifacts and many more an mentioned, plus the former Royal Palace in Nyanza town then dinner and overnight at Kigali Intercontinental.
Day 7: A brief city tour and departure back home
After breakfast set off on a city tour to Kigali for some shopping of memorable African back home products that will keep you close to Africa for the rest of your life. Transfer to the Airport for your home-bound flight and that will mark the end of your safari. Don’t miss a classic safari in Rwanda.
