A 10 day Rwanda-Uganda Safari
Day1: Arrival and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Arrive in Uganda at Entebbe airport and get picked early morning from the hotel by the tour guide ready to depart to queen national park via Mbarara, Kasese with a lunch enroute in Mbarara then proceed to the park arriving at Mweya safari lodge for a leisure dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Morning game drive and launch cruise in queen
Early morning go for a game drive at Kasenyi akob mating ground known for lions and kobs expect to see elephants, leopards, lions and eyes should be open to have great fun with the wildlife. Return to the park for lunch and later go for the afternoon launch cruise at the Kazinga channel and spot the hippos, crocodile and water birds thanking the Almighty for his job of creation and this is referred to as hippos recreation then retire for dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge.
Day 3: Excursion for Chimp tracking in Kyambura gorge
Relatively early morning go for an excursion to Kyambura gorge for chimpanzee tracking a memorable activity that units man with his closest resemble mate, take a walk to lake katwe a lake with rare minerals in Uganda, return to Mweya safari lodge for lunch and relax while preparing for the early morning journey to Rwanda, dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Rwanda
Wake up at holiday before you start your scenic drive to Rwanda via Kabale-Kisoro to Gatuna border. Dinner and overnight at Volcano lodge.
Day 6: Gorilla tracking at Volcano Park plus optional half day volcano climb at Bisoke
Leave early morning after breakfast and report to the park headquarters for briefing the start of Gorilla tracking in the morning one of the most enduring activity that needs a lot of patience but too exciting and memorable and once you find them spend an hour with the gorillas observing and taking pictures. Return to the lodge for lunch and later go for optional half day Volcano climbing at Bisoke volcano and enjoy the steep slope fun on the land. Return for dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 7: Visit to Rwanda traditional kings palace and Butare
After breakfast drive to Kigali (Nyanza) the historical seat of the earliest Rwandan king’s then tour inside and around the Palace. Here is an opportunity to see green fields of tea plantations scattered across the hillsides and the small wooden houses unique in the areas surrounding the forest. Have lunch and in the afternoon drive to Butare the finest ethnographic collection in East Africa that displays advanced traditional artifacts that are illuminated by attractive selection of turn-of-the-century colorless photographs providing insight not only into pre-colonial lifestyles but also Rwanda’s culture lifestyle. Proceed to the National Museum for an additional sighting of genocide fact displays that were designed out of experience then return for dinner and overnight to volcano lodge.
Day 8: Morning tour to the Gorilla hero Tomb and Transfer to Lake Kivu
Early morning drive to Karisoke to see Dian fossey Tomb the hero of wildlife conservation in Africa listen to her sweet amazing stories from the guide, get to know how you can became a great person in life, have lunch and connect to Gesenyi for boat trips on lake Kivu, relax in boat trips return for dinner and over night at Volcano lodge.
Day 9: City tour plus a visit Batwa pottery project
After breakfast drive to Kigali for a city tour plus lunch at a convenient place while waiting to see performances done by the members of a Batwa Pottery Project early evening with an introduction to the life of the first Rwandans. Receive great entertainment like never before and participation involvement is part of unity so don’t hesitate. (Their display art of pottery products as well as singing, drumming and dancing). Dinner and overnight in any well facilitated Kigali lodge (BB).
Day 10: Departure back home
Past break fast organize to reach at the airport in the real time for the flight back home check in and that marks the end of your trip.
