This 5 Days Rwanda Safari takes you for both mountain gorilla tracking in Volcanoes National Park and Karisimbi Hike. This is one of the most adventurous trip in Rwanda. Mount Karisimbi is the highest of the eight volcanoes in the Virunga Mountains. Rising to 4.507 m, is a huge dome, now dormant, that dominates the range, more in girth than in height. A hike takes two days and you have to book the trek at least two weeks before the actual hiking date.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival – Parc Nationale Des Volcanoes
On arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will be picked from the airport by our tour guide who will transfer you to Parc Nationale des Volcanoes. The journey to the park takes atleast 2 hours of driving past the beautiful countryside of Rwanda. On reaching the park, check into your lodge for Dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking
After breakfast, our guide will pick you early in the morning and drive to the park headquarters where you will meet the ranger guides. After the briefing and getting allocated to a particular gorilla group you are to hike, begin the search of mountain Gorillas within the forest. The trek can be quite tough that normally it takes a lot of time approximately 2-8 hours of hiking. After the trekking, if time allows, have lunch at Ruhengeri and an excursion to explore the beautiful lakes in the region (LakeBulera & Ruhondo). Dinner and Overnight at the lodge
Day 3 and 4: Hiking the Karisimbi
After breakfast, you will go for a 2 day volcano hiking on Karisimbi which refers to its often white-capped summit. Dinner and overnight camping at an altitude of 3,800 m. The second day reach the summit and climb down, return for dinner and overnight at your lodge
Day 5: Kigali City Tour – Departure
After breakfast you will drive to Kigali, you will go for a city tour. After the tour, you will have lunch and be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
